Nakita.id - Jumat (28/9/2018) sore, gempa mengguncang kawasan Donggala, Sulawesi Tengah dengan kekuatan 7,4 SR, yang sebelumnya dikabarkan 7,7 SR.


Menurut Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG), pusat gempa berkedalaman 10 kilometer, berada pada 27 kilometer Timur Laut Donggala.

Gempa Donggala tersebut disusul dengan terjadinya tsunami. Gelombang tsunami membuat permukiman di sekitar pantai dan beberapa permukiman hancur dan terbawa gelombang.

Bahkan, jembatan Ponulele, yang menjadi ikon kota Palu turut hancur karena tsunami.


Selain terbawa gelombang tsunami, tersebar pula berbagai foto dan video yang memberikan informasi tentang situasi dan kondisi di Palu dan sekitarnya.

Tsunami Palu menyebabkan sebuah kapal melintang di tengah jalan dan lokasinya berada di Kecamatan Mamboro, Kota Palu.

Kapal perintis KM Sabuk Nusantara 39 juga terlihat naik ke daratan di Pelabuhan Pantoloan, Kota Palu, Sulawesi Tenggah. KM Sabuk Nusantara 39 terlihat terhempas hingga di atas pelabuhan.


Dilaporkan bahwa selain KM Sabuk Nusantara 39 yang terhempas ke daratan, banyak kapal lain yang juga ikut terhempas ke daratan karena besarnya dan tingginya guncangan tsunami.

"Efek tsunami sementara ini berdasarkan hasil observasi kami itu ada sebuah kapal yang melintang di tengah jalan," ungkap Kepala Stasiun Geofisika Kota Palu, Cahyo Nugroho, melansir dari Kompas.com.

Cahyo juga menambahkan bila Jembatan Vatulemo di Kota Palu terputus aksesnya.

"Jembatan tadi saya baru dapat gambar saja, bukan hasil observasi kami. Belum tahu sumbernya dari mana. Untuk sementara gambar seperti itu kan sulit direkayasa, jadi kami pastikan itu betul terjadi. Tapi, sumbernya belum dikonfirmasi," jelas Cahyo.

Tsunami yang sampai ke daratan tersebut memang cukup membuat masyarakat bergidik.

Tsunami Palu terjadi pukul 17.22 WIB, atau sekitar 18.22 WITA memiliki ketinggian 0,5 sampai 1,5 meter, pantai Donggala kurang dari 50 sentimeter dan Pantai Mamuju dengan ketinggian 6 sentimeter.

Insiden tersebut langsung dibenarkan dan dikonfirmasi oleh pihak KPLP Palu.

Melansir dari Tribun Makassar, KPLP Palu membenarkan adanya kapal yang naik ke atas Pelabuhan Pantoloan dan menyebabkan utulitas bangunan penunjang pelabuhan mengalami kerusakan cukup parah.

Pelabuhan Pantoloan sendiri merupakan pelabuhan yang melayani kapal-kapal Pelni dan kapal perintis, serta menjadi pelabuhan bagi masyarakat sekitar.

Hingga kini, Kompas.com melaporkan bahwa Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) mencatat sebanyak 384 korban meninggal dunia di Palu.

Adapun korban hilang berjumlah 29 orang dan luka berat mencapai 540 orang.

Terjadi pula kerusakan di berbagai bangunan, baik rumah, pusat perbelanjaan, hotel, rumah sakit dan infrastruktur lainnya.(*)
